From September 1 to 4, 2022, one of the most unique festivals in Salou is celebrated: the Rei Jaume I Festival, which arrives accompanied by cultural activities and the Medieval Market, as well as a royal procession, set in the 13th century, that runs through the main streets of Salou to the beach. From 3 to 6 September Salou celebrates the king Jaime I to commemorate the conquest of Mallorca from the Saracens by the monarch in 1229, when he went with his ships from the port of the capital of the Costa Dorada. This year, the program includes as a novelty one "mapping" that explain this historical fact, and other musical shows, a medieval market and gastronomic route.
