Pere Granados, mayor of Salou, has asked the security bodies to guarantee the right to access to their work to the cleaning service employees who do not wish to join the planned strike from August 17 to 24.

The Association of Merchants of Salou organizes from August 17 to 19 the fair "Fuera Stocks", an open-air market for the liquidation of items with significant discounts, which will be located on Paseo Jaume I. The initiative has the support of the Department of Economic Promotion, Trade , Markets and Consumption of the City Council.

The Coca-Cola firm has presented in Salou its "Mars Circulars" project, an ambitious initiative that aims to create a sustainability strategy by cleaning the coast and the seabed. The plan includes the recovery of natural spaces, the prevention with awareness campaigns and citizen awareness, and the generation of scientific studies and circular economics.

The Department of Culture and Festivals of Salou has prepared a cluster of festive events and cultural and sports activities that will make those who have chosen the capital of the Costa Daurada have a summer of unstoppable leisure. The range of activities is endless: habaneras, neighborhood festivals, regional parties, concerts, sports championships, film series, exhibitions, handicraft markets, solidarity and commercial activities ... etc.

The last weeks have been frantic for the Tourism Board of Salou, which has supported a series of actions that aim to bring our tourist destination to the world. Mundiavocat - the soccer world cup for lawyers -, the Salou Yoga Festival, the Challenge Salou triathlon and the Barcelona Football Festival have been activities in which the municipality has been involved.

The eighth edition of the "Sabor Salou" fair, which aims to highlight the gastronomy and restoration of the capital of the Costa Dorada, is held this weekend. The organization expects more than 40,000 attendees to enjoy both the activities related to gastronomy, and the show that accompanies it.

The organization of the Maritime Fair of the Costa Daurada, which will be held in Cambrils from May 17 to 20, expects more than 15,000 people to attend. Organized by the Club Náutico de Cambrils by delegation of the City Council of the town, this exhibition is already considered a benchmark in nautical throughout Catalonia.

The capital of the Costa Dorada attends its annual appointment with FITUR, the Tourism Fair of Madrid, to promote the municipality. It does so from the platform of the Agència Catalana de Turisme, with a stand located within the Catalunya Costa Daurada area and from the alliance with PortAventura.

The BCN World project for Salou, Vila-seca and the Costa Dorada begins this 2017, with the forecast that in the summer begin the public urbanization works. The tourist complex that will be built next to PortAventura World is expected to generate 12,000 jobs during its construction and represents 0.7 percent of GDP.

Christmas is also a good time to enjoy Salou. It is a much quieter time and also organize various activities of social and commercial dynamism that set the most emblematic corners of the capital of the Costa Dorada.

The quintessential summer months, July and August, they come packed in entertainment for all tastes and all ages. Sabor Salou fair returns this year from 15 to 17 April to Paseo Jaume I of Salou to publicize the gastronomic and catering offer of the municipality, as well as products with designation of origin of the territory. Access is free but you can buy a tasting pack, and participate in various workshops and gastronomic activities.

The commercial offer of Reus will be increased with the opening of the Fair Trade Centre, a complex with more than 60 stores, more than 28,000 square meters of retail space and with the top brands in the world of fashion, leisure and catering.

A hundred cultural, recreational and street acts Salou form the agenda for the summer months. From daily performances of clowns, circus and mood to large concerts, markets, Havana or outdoor cinema.

Salou begins its Winter Festival 2015, with a varied program that includes about seventy events that will fill eleven days of activities for all ages. Music with journalist Manuel Fuentes that pays tribute to Bruce Springsteen; concerts, traditional events, children's and sports activities and, above all, the Coso Blanco, confetti battle star of acts.

Christmas has already come to the Costa Dorada. Christmas markets have already taken to the streets in most of the towns and cities of demarcation.
