In September, celebration of the Feast of King Jaume I
From 5 to 8 September 2024, Salou celebrates the departure of King Jaume I from the Port of Salou to conquer Mallorca. During these days, various cultural, sporting and recreational activities will remember that historic moment with the Medieval Market, the historical recreation of the royal departure, conferences, workshops and a regatta, among other events.
Nits Daurades Salou, the biggest festival of the capital of the Costa Dorada

What to do today in Salou. Visit the outdoor leatherback turtle exhibit
Salou is committed to art and culture and that is why every summer it opens an open-air exhibition on Paseo Jaume I. This 2024 the proposal is a unique exhibition of 10 sculptures that reproduce leatherback turtles that, in turn, have been decorated by many other painters and illustrators. It can be visited until September 30.

Until July 10, 2021, you can visit the Sonia Toneu exhibition “Territori (s)” at the Torre Vella in Salou. The sample presents some thirty works divided into 6 collections that explore the relationship between places, landscapes, feelings and the perception of others from abstract painting.
Exhibition of the painter Pere Galera in the Torre Vella
"God is in the House" is the pictorial exhibition by Pere Galera that will host the Torre Vella in Salou until May 29, 2021. In total there are 23 works that occupy the two rooms of the enclosure, in which the painter shows his work on the structure of the space and a process of continuous transformation of the same.
The virtual Winter Festival to remember the Coso Blanco of other years
Neither 20 cannons to fire 25 tons of confetti, nor 10 light bridges, nor 120,000 watts of sound, nor 30 floats, nor 2,500 people in costumes, nor full fun for 30,000 people enjoying the Coso Blanco in Salou. In 2021, the current COVID situation does not allow us to celebrate the Winter Festival of the capital of the Costa Dorada as always, which will be virtual.
Virtual Festival of October 30
On October 30, Salou celebrates its Fiesta Mayor, commemorating the moment when it was born as a municipality after separating from Vila-seca. This year, however, the celebration will be virtual with more than twenty events for the whole family. The central moment will be the same day, October 30, with the traditional floral offering in the Santa María del Mar church, and the planting of a commemorative tree for the 31st anniversary of the Segregation.
