Salou remains the second Catalan tourist town, just behind Barcelona, after the closure of the collection corresponding to the first nine months of 2014 resort tax.
The tourist tax is a tax levied introduced in 2012 to make the stay of tourists in the Catalan tourist establishments, similar to that which exists in numerous destinations around the world.
