Faced with the new closure of bars and restaurants decreed by the Generalitat to contain the Covid19, the Federació Empresarial d'Hostaleria i Turisme demands that local, regional and state administrations "approve and apply urgent, forceful and efficient measures that help directly to our sector, in order to guarantee its survival ”, according to a statement made public by the employer.
In this sense, the sector recalls that it represents almost 26 percent of the GDP of the Costa Dorada and Terres de l'Ebre, and for this reason they reiterate their concern about the situation they are experiencing, since the drastic decrease in income must be add unplanned and unilateral government decisions that they must abide by, with a huge negative impact on their businesses and the jobs they create.
In this sense, the hospitality and tourism association of the province of Tarragona also recalls the enormous effort made to implement the security measures necessary by the Covid in their premises, and they have thanked the commitment, predisposition and collaboration of people sector workers.
Finally, the Business Federation is aware of the delicate situation that is being experienced as a result of the pandemic and for this same reason it calls on the citizens to comply with the current measures, and thus contribute to return to a more situation controlled pandemic that allows again to open bars and restaurants, hotels, campsites, apartments, leisure centers, amusement parks, etc.
