One of the main new features and attractions of Salou environment this year will be, and is, without doubt, the Gaudí Centre, the new space dedicated to the great architect Antoni Gaudi that has been the city of Reus macha in the central Plaça del Mercadal, near the town hall. The enclosure, with a very distinctive facade and signed by Gaudí in huge characters, has three floors dedicated to recreate the architect's life and works from a spectacular audiovisual equipment. Paradoxically, the visit starts on the third floor, which offers a multi-visual spectacle and sensory and tactile models that introduce the viewer into the keys of his architectural language.
The man approaches the second floor, the work and the enigma. Interactive models and mills appear to present the forms Gaudí. They reveal riddles and mysterious aspects of its architecture. On the first floor is personal items and can be found the only existing manuscript notebook of Gaudí, you can also stroll through the Reus of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, where Gaudí grew and burst modernism, visible in numerous buildings in the city. The Gaudí Centre also has a high-end restaurant, located in the attic.
