At the proposal of the Salouenc Excursionist Club, Salou has been chosen because the municipality has a
stable water depth level, in terms of beaches, which allows the water walk to be carried out properly. In addition, Salou has a
long path enabled by the entire Salouense coastline, which connects Llevant Beach, with Cap Salou, through the Camino de Ronda. Both aspects make Salou an optimal place to celebrate this type of sporting activity.
In the presentation of the tests, the
mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has valued, very positively that "more and more, we are chosen as the venue to carry out events of different sports modalities, since Salou has an ideal natural space for practicing of physical activity".
For his part, the
Councilor for Sports Promotion, Daniel López, thanked "the effort and work done by the Salouenc Excursionist Club to bring this I Aqua Beach Trail Championship of Catalonia to Salou."
