Salou. Costa Dorada. 27 May 2020.
According to the Camp de Tarragona Environmental Air Quality Observatory, promoted by Repsol, the measured immissions remain below the minimum legal limits required or recommended. This study has been carried out over a period of between 8 and 12 months in 18 municipalities or neighborhoods in the North and South petrochemical estates, using 24 control points.
In this sense, the Observatory has increased the sampling points incorporating those of the southern polygon, which are 13 points in 9 populations or neighborhoods. These points have been added to those already existing in the northern polygon, which were 11 in 9 municipalities or neighborhoods.
The Observatory is made up of private, public, business and social entities with the aim of ensuring the air quality of the Camp de Tarragona, improving control of emissions and planning improvement actions, even if the indices are below the limits set by administrations.
