Salou promotes sustainable mobility and exploring the municipality on foot

Salou. Costa Dorada. 15 September 2023. Coinciding with the European Week of Sustainable Mobility, the Salou City Council promotes various actions that aim to make the municipality friendlier to pedestrians, more sustainable and more comfortable and safe.

One of the activities consists of creating pedestrian routes of 5 to 6 kilometers, in the center of the municipality, that link several points of interest in Salou to promote travel on foot.

Another initiative focuses on young students in the municipality. Thus, surveys will be given to students to find out the means of transport they use to get to educational centers and, in this way, seek safe and sustainable mobility solutions for this group.

Finally, the Salou City Council invites citizens to use more efficient and environmentally friendly means of transport, in addition to reminding pedestrians to use zebra crossings, and bicycle and scooter users to wear helmets.

With these and other measures, according to the City Council, Salou is advancing to become increasingly an efficient and sustainable city.
