Torredembarra celebrates its 12th National Day and the 5th Bull Exhibit, on 27th February
Torredembarra. Costa Dorada. The cold is ideal to enjoy a good bull and this will make everyone who participates in the 5th Bull Showing Torredembarra on 27th February, at Morros restaurant on the Paseo Marítimo. The President of the Municipal Tourism, Pere Font, explained that this year they have prepared some attractive new terms because the sample offered a variety of restaurants and tapas prepared with the bull as a prominent ingredient. Thus the show, besides the traditional cooked bull with pepper and garlic, also can taste the ratatouille at restaurant Mulsum , bull of ravioli croquettes restaurant at Captain and rice and bull marmitako at restaurant El Vaixell. But what remains is the formula to reach a wider audience by offering the possibility of choosing a sample (including drink) for a lower price. In fact, considering the crisis, the organization has decided to keep the prices: 25 € the Day (lunch) and 5 € ticket to the tasting. 6 cooks and chefs prepare bull for about 250 guests of the Day and 250 tapas for the show, making the dish at home under their own family tradition. They are: Amadeu Bairaguet Padral, Iris Figuerola Biscamps, Eloi Figuerola Hurtado, Maria Dolors Garri Riambau, Remei Hurtado Mercadé and Álex Segú Soliva. Bull is also to be found in different restaurants of the town: Cal Quim, El Noi and La Quilla that offer this dish from 27th February to 6 March. In total, between the Show, the Day and all the bull to be used at various restaurants, around 65 kg of this food made out of the the stomach of dry tuna will be used.
