Reus lives the Christmas atmosphere after the Christmas lights

The city of Reus is immersed in the Christmas spirit, after the traditional burning of the Christmas lights which took place on Friday 22nd November in the Mercadal Square. Adults and children enjoyed the children's entertainment with Marta Pauls, Globulina clown, starred in the start of the event at 6.30pm. Then, from the stage at the square, the mayor of Reus, Carles Pellicer, the Councillor for Economic Development, Alicia Alegret, and the president of the Union of Shopkeepers, Leonor Bartolí participated in the countdown culminating in the Lights of the Christmas tree. The city of Reus was flooded by the Christmas atmosphere of the time, with the Christmas lights also in the streets. The act of burning also was attended by the presidents of other commercial entities of the city of Reus.

After the lighting of the lights it was launched the "mapping", the projection of 3D images in the City Hall. This is a show with music, playing with the transformation of the City Hall. The subject is related to the traditional elements of Christmas and has its own identifying features of the city, as the traditional man's nose or Modernism.

The show will vary over the Christmas period with the addition of new scenes, images and special effects, with the aim of strengthening the capacity of attracting viewers.

The "mapping" will be displayed until January 4th, Monday to Friday at 7:00 pm and Saturdays at 17:00 am and 8:00 pm, except public holidays in that trade is fenced. In order to create animation, you can also see on 6, 8, 15 and 22 December holidays that trade open to the public.
