Salou. Costa Dorada. The beaches of the Costa Dorada this summer have achieved up to 19 blue flags, between the towns of L'Hospitalet de l'Infant and Vandellós, Cambrils, Montroig, Vila-seca, Altafulla, Torredembarra, Tarragona and Salou. The blue flag is a distinction that gives the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC), certifying that the beaches exceed about exams higiénicas conditions, security, access to pool, in Compliance with regulations and vigente of attention to the people with a disability. This award is given each year since 1987, and is given to those beaches that pass the exams hygiene, security, free access, sustainability, legislative compliance, care for people with disabilities and offer supplementary education, among others. The Blue Flag awards are participating in voluntary environmental initiatives of local authorities, local people and visitors and the tourism industry players.
