The progressive return to normality prior to the pandemic will be experienced in Salou with the celebration of the II Rice Gastronomic Conference that will be held between April 29 and May 16 and will do so with the participation of 18 restaurants in the municipality, which wants to continue working to establish itself as a gastronomic reference.
Salou, which at the beginning of 2020 presented a gastronomic calendar for the whole year within the framework of Fitur, saw interrupted those calls that are now being resumed with the organization of the Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs (AEH) of Salou, with the support of the City Council and with the sponsorship of Arroz Bayo and Torelló Viticultores.
And he does it with rice, a universal ingredient that, according to Pep Moreno, president of the AEH Salouense, we can find so much in a sushi, in a Thai dish or in a stew. Rice will not only be present in the dishes but will also accompany the menus through the Segadors del Delta Rice Liquor. For its part, the Corpinnat Torelló Edition Costa Dorada 2016 will accompany the drinking of these menus, which will have an average price of between 20 and 50 euros.
The conferences have been presented in the Torre Vella by the aforementioned Pep Moreno, by Santos Martínez (Arroz Bayo), by Paco de la Rosa (Torelló), by the Councilor for Economic Promotion Héctor Maiquez, by the mayor Pere Granados and by a broad representation of the eighteen participating restaurants.These are

During the presentation, the mayor requested that the Procicat allow restaurants to serve dinners as soon as possible and reaffirmed Salou's commitment to position itself as the benchmark capital of gastronomy on the Costa Dorada.
For its part, the restaurant sector, which has lived through a very difficult year due to the pandemic, values this timid return to normality very positively, a reopening in the line of placing Salou and its establishments as benchmarks of gastronomy in the Coast Golden.
