M-Clan, Mago de Oz, Els Pets and Gossos shake the nights at Santa Tecla 2009
Tarragona. Costa Dorada. The Feast of Santa Tecla brings to Tarragona a selection of the best Catalan and Spanish music scene. The nights of the festival will offer free concerts scattered throughout the 10 days of festivity. The ones in charge of opening the concerts will be Murcia-born M-Clan on the night of 15 September. With their latest album "Memorias de un espantapajaros", M-Clan was awarded the music prize for best rock album of 2008 and the Plaza de la Fuente has been the site chosen to demonstrate why they are deserving such an important prize. In the following nights the protagonists will be at the Macroconcert on 17 September: After a tour that has taken them to Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia and Nicaragua and now coming back to Spain, Mago de Oz presents "Leyendas de la Mancha Tour". After twenty years, bringing heavy metal to the stage, Mago de Oz comes to Tarragona to give us a review of their best songs throughout their career. The unmissable event begins at 10 pm at El Pilar. But the performances do not end here. On September 18 the music is presented in front of the Plaça de la Font in a double plan: at 7pm the family concert will take place, unlike other years, with the most beloved band in Catalonia: els Pets, whose music will bring a touch to the evening's fun which has been their characteristics since their beginning in 1985. As a closing night, noone can miss the presence of Gossos. They, as well as Tarragona, have something to celebrate: 15 years in music and what better way to celebrate than to present her album, "Oxygen", which continues to collect awards from critics. Gossos, ends at 10:30 pm one of the strongest nights of Santa Tecla, but certainly not the last. Until the end of the festival music events will be strong and varied and this Santa Tecla 2009 will surely remain in everyone´s memory.
