The Catalan cultural heritage, in CaixaForum Tarragona
Tarragona. Costa Dorada. This year there are some of the most important anniversaries in the history of Catalonia, as the bicentenary of Jaume Balmes or centenaries of the Tragic Week, Joan Maragall's death or the birth of Vicens Vives. They laid the foundations of a culture and society that even today we have inherited, and became the cultural activists of the quintessential contemporary Catalan. The Humanities Program Obra Social "la Caixa" decided to recoup some of these figures and examine the role they played for the Catalan society in the cycle of conferences Biographies. Thinkers Catalans, Tarragona host CaixaForum 20 January to 10 February 2010.
