The School of Art and Design of Tortosa hosts an exhibition of video art
Tortosa. Costa Dorada. The artist from Reus Jordi Abello exposes Black Mirror (Breath) and New Art History at the School of Art and Design Council in Tortosa. The exhibition will be open until next January 20, 2012. The opening ceremony was attended by the deputy of the inter-institution, Malràs John Joseph, and her principal, Carmen Clemente, as well as several members of the management team of the school and the artist. The exhibition consists of two video projections. With this installation, Jordi Abello pays his unique tribute to two distinguished Reus: Antoni Gaudí and MariàFortuny. Currently, the artist already working on the new history of contemporary art. Abelló divides his work into pictorial and theoretical. The latter practice is a reflection about the painting and the art world, which "seek to explain what interests me and attracts me." According to the artist, thanks to the video shoot can be seen as an image of the painting and, thanks to a mirror opposite of black paint, how to detect the rays collide with each other and against the mirror. This exhibition was opened at the Arts Santa Monica in Barcelona last summer.
