The Pirtoecnia Marti of Castelló wins Fireworks Competition of Tarragona
Tarragona. Costa Dorada. The Pirotecnia Martí de Burriana (Castellon) has been the absolute winner of the International Fireworks Competition of Tarragona held from July 7th to 11th. The company has won the first prize, the prize " Tronades de Santa Tecla " which was open to the Catalan or Valencian best classified, and also the special "Festa Major de Granollers Trofeu Blanc i Blau" which was addressed to the the Iberian Peninsula fireworks better classified. In total the company has achieved 2165 points, while second prize went to Italian Fabbrica Fuochi La Tirrena SAS, which has gained 2161 points. The other participants were Pirotecnia Caballer of Godella (Valencia), which has remained in third place; Hermanos Caballer de Almenara (Castellón) was fourth and Austrian Feuerwerke fireworks Jost has returned to score less. The company has won the € 9000 first prize, the trophy, "Venus Ciutat de Tarragona" and the award of public spectacles of fireworks during the festivities of Santa Tecla in September with a value of € 41.580. Regarding the award “Tronades Santa Tecla" is endowed with € 13,920, to fire on September 15th of 2009, 4 “tronades” for the day simultaneously. Finally, the special "Festa Major de Granollers Trofeu Blanc i Blau" which also took the Pirotecnia Marti is to be awarded the Castle fireworks festival in the Granollers worth € 18,000. For its part, the the second prize won fot Italian fireworks is € 6000, the trophy, "Venus Ciutat de Tarragona" and a document certifying the award made. The verdict was announced in Pati Jaume I of the City Council of Tarragona in a public ceremony held on Sunday July 12th of 2009 at 12 h. The councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Tarragona, Carme Crespo, read the verdict and handed the awards accompanied by the councilor of the City Council of Granollers Culture, Alba Barnusell, among other representatives of the jury and the organization of the competition.
