A hundred years of Sports in Cataluña in a photography exhibition in Falset

Falset. Costa Dorada. Obra Social "la Caixa" Arts in Teatro de l´artesana in Falset organized an exhibition devoted to the last hundred years of sport in Catalonia from the contributions of one of the most important photographers and photojournalists such as Avelino Pi. Avelino Pi. Picture of the sport presents a wide selection of work of this photographer from five major sections dedicated Olympic sport, tennis, football, a miscellany Misc Sports (boxing to golf and sailing in Formula 1) and the people surrounding the sport (from vendors to the leaders of major international organizations). It also included an audiovisual presentation that reveals the personality of Avelino Pi and show different aspects of their activity.  "Sport is like life," says Avelino Pi. I know what you speak: for almost forty years that photograph sporting events of all kinds, in all disciplines. He has lived hundreds of victories and defeats, has enjoyed peace and Olympic seen as broken, has met the greats and has mixed with the anonymous individuals who observe the glory from the barrier. Avelino Pi is a pioneer of sports photography in Spain. His career really started at the Olympics in Munich, 1972. Since then, Avelino Pi witnessed others found five Olympic Summer id'hivern Sarajevo, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Sydney and Athens. This experience has allowed him to reflect changes in the world of sport and the main characters that have significance and continuity to the Olympic movement over the past thirty years. Falset) from 16 February to 18 March 2010.
