The Costa Dorada Catalonia RallyRacc arrives in PortAventura

Tarragona. Costa Dorada. Since this last Monday, the service park of the 45-RallyRacc Catalunya COSTA DAURADA in Spain (1 to 4 October), is operational and practically all infrastructure equipment mounted. Located in the parking lot of PortAventura, the Park Service is distributed in workspaces depending on the participant or championship at stake, while the main part is occupied by two great teams of world standard, considered as 1st priority, Citroën Total and BP Ford Abu Dhabi, whose structures are coupled at the same time with their satellite equipment, Citroën Junior in the case of the first mark and Stobart VK and Munchi's in the second, around which the public viewing areas are located.   The distribution is also planned for registered participants of the second and third priority, which are the drivers of the J-WRC and of Pirelli Star Driver, and elsewhere are the other participants, including the Spanish pilots, the Production Fiesta Rally Racing and Sport Trophy International. All official team trucks are located in their assigned places, around which the structures have been built to be operationally working all week. Also today has opened the Headquarters Office (The Race Office) and tomorrow so will the press room, which this year is located in the new Convention Center in PortAventura, next to the hotel named after it. Starting today, teams are starting to start administrative verifications, finishing with technical check-ups on Wednesday.   The two days of recognition will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday and on Thursday October 1 will be the day of the test or section Shakedown (Coll of Teixeta) as well as the official departure ceremony to be held from 8pm on the podium located in Salou's promenade. Testings (not trainings) of the stages are regulated so that each day the participants moved through a few segments shown.   So, tomorrow on Tuesday, September 29 pilots will be able to test Querol, The Montmell, The Mussara and Riudecanyes, whose beginning is also the Shakedown. On Wednesday 30, pilots will go by Priorat, Ribera d'Ebre, Les Garrigues, La Llena, Santa Marina and La Serra d'Almos. According to their belonging or not to the priority list 1st, 2nd or 3rd category riders start it test of a specific section so as to avoid the accumulation of vehicles on the same road. 45 RallyRACC Catalunya-COSTA DAURADA, Rally of Spain, will be held from 2 to 4 October through a route of 1299.13 kms which include 18 timed special tests for a total of 353.62 kms of speed. The entry list is made up of 80 units belonging to 28 nationalities, 20 of them Spanish teams.
