The CAM and the City of Torredembarra present the exhibition 'Històries dun viatge'
Torredembarra. Costa Dorada. The CAM and the City of Torredembarra present the exhibition 'Stories of a journey' that will host the Master Library Torredembarra Maria Antonia of January 15 to February 12. The opening ceremony will take place this Friday, January 15th, at 19 h, with the participation of the Councilor of Heritage, Maria Rosa Guasch, representatives of the CAM, and the creator of the show, Ester Besolí. Stories of a journey from the experiences of six people who explain things to them, from their homelands, their vision of the host country, their feelings and projects. The young artist Ester Besolí Tortosa, based on his interviews with each of these people, shows his vision of the experiences with the paintings, of a poetic nature, introspective and sensitive. The exhibition includes information panels, photographs, paintings and a video documentary. The immigrant must leave their land, family, friends, language, identity ... to adapt to their new environment, which is always complex and sometimes difficult and hostile. A journey that is always a break and a match: break, with his life in the country, and meeting with the adopted land. This meeting fosters a multicultural approach that certainly enriches both the newcomer and the host society. The councilor of Heritage, Maria Rosa Guasch, explained that this show will be interesting especially for a population like that for years Torredembarra welcomes immigrant population because it allows for reflection on this situation through knowledge of personal experiences.
