In the Punta del Cavall is more pronounced outgoing Cap of Salou. From here you can enjoy a magnificent view of the coast of Salou, which highlights its best in a very special sunsets. The cover of the Punta del Cavall, is the Cala Font, one of the most used to anchor boats in the past and often used by pirates in his score for captives and plunder. The Cabo de Salou is a rocky promontory that protrudes about 2 km from the shoreline and the elevation rises to 75 in the area of Atalaya. A large area of coastal marsh years ago stood behind the beach of Pineda, but now, though still a fraction too tainted by the intense process of urbanization.
