The toll of the Palla
Notes: from the tail of the reservoir dam of Siurana (Cornudella Montsant) to reach the place called Toll de la Palla cross the river several times. According water bearing not touch us no choice but to dip our feet.
The river of Siurana with the initial basin Motllats, goes into the former territory of Siurana after passing through territories of February for the start of the charred and four mills. This is where it receives the waters of the stream Gorg, on the left, and the gorge of Prades, on the right foot by descending the cliffs that surround it. In siuranenques lands are the remains or memories is eleven mills and the river had moved a few puddles, like the furnace, the straw and the Cinteta. Among the three, the straw is probably the most renowned. Located down in the chair, upstream mill Salvat before the farmhouse in Candi, has been formed over time digging the stone bed of the river.
Start walking from the reservoir dam of Siurana from which will follow the service road that runs along the shore to left. After leaving behind the ruins of the mill pond and Salvat the oven, still very close to the river, upstream up to the pond where the Straw, whoever, can bathe in its clear waters. On the way back along the same path and will take advantage to know the plants and flowers that we find along the way.
