Concert.   10 pm   SMALL RIVER DIXIE + DJ.POET (Discofunk Classics) In the early twentieth century, along the Mississippi River in New Orleans is a vibrant living environment of mixed cultures (English, French and African, mainly). The black impenitents practice of music and dance, make up this mixture and begin a new kind of music, origin of jazz. One of the manifestations of this primitive are small jazz band that played at local dance at parties, to funerals (very important for those black community) ... The music of those bands later played by whites, called Dixieland. Dixieland was a traditional name to refer to the southern United States. We are in XXI century, the riverside Francolí Tarragona. The evolution and complexity of jazz have been very large. The music in general has changed greatly as a result of mergers and planetary influences. Many things separate us from popular black funerals in New Orleans. Small River Dixie, but now wants to play this music.
