Friday, March 2, 2012 at 10pm Tomas Luis de Victoria Banchieri Adriano. Renaissance to Baroque New Lux Ensemble (Josep Cabre, director) The polyphony of the late sixteenth and early seventeenth marks one of the highlights in music creation and establishes the basis for later music. One of the greatest composers of this period, Tomas Luis de Victoria, from whom we have just celebrated the 4th anniversary of his death, is the protagonist of the first part of the program. The second part of the program is Festina's Il Grasso giovedì Banchieri Hadrian, the work of humorous character and dilettante who is advanced in the creation of the opera for the first time. The interpretation will be provided by New Lux Ensemble group specializes in performing music of the Renaissance and Baroque.
